taking a hiatus from offering scheduled classes until Spring of 2013. I am
available for individual instruction or group classes for any group that wants
to arrange a time and place.
Following is a list of classes I offer. Please contact me for more information

How to Weave on a
Loom in a Tube
Class duration: 2 hours
|
If you are new to
the Loom in a Tube, or simply want a refresher on how to put a warp on your Loom in a Tube,
this class will answer all your questions and more. Learn all the steps from
assembly to weaving.

Freeform Weaving with Yarn and Beads
Class Duration: 1/2 day
or full day depending on
depth of instruction
|
Freeform weaving provides a way to explore the
interaction of colors and textures with spontaneity. The juxtaposition of
beads and yarn creates
beautiful contrasts in
color and texture. Use this technique
to weave purses, pouches, tapestries and clothing.
You will learn basic
weft-faced weaving techniques, and how to interweave areas of bead weaving.
No weaving experience is required. Bring your own loom
purchase a Loom in a Tube.

Bead Kumihimo Bracelet
Class duration: 3 hours
|
This is a new twist on a
traditional craft, with stunning results. You will have the opportunity to
complete a bracelet in the class, and will go home with the tools and
knowledge needed to continue braiding with beads. Fee includes all
materials.

Introduction to Tapestry Weaving
Class Duration: One day
or two days depending on
depth of instruction
|
You will learn the
foundations for tapestry weaving in this one-day workshop. We will cover how
to weave vertical and diagonal lines for geometric shapes.
